Re-certification. You Must Bring your Previous Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR HCP & AED card to class. Your present certification must not be expired; otherwise, the full course will be required.
Alberta Government OH&S recognized. We practice with both the In-Hospital chain of survival as well as the Out-of-Hospital Chain of survival, the emphasis is placed on working and being part of a team environment.
We will go over the changes made in the procedures since you last took the course and will focus on aspects that may have been forgotten.
We will discuss and have scenarios that will include when it is necessary to use the AED, Jaw Thrust Technique, BVM and when to change ratios for Children and Infants.
There is no Exam in this course.
Most Health-Care Providers are required to get certified in CPR-HCP every year, so taking our refresher is the most cost-effective option available. Class Length is 3.5 Hours this is an estimated time based on the speed of candidates in class.
